Last updated: 15 July 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to all services provided by Installation Services NW ("we", "us", "our"), a trading name of [Company Name], registered in England and Wales. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on this page, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Services

We provide domestic and commercial installation services, including but not limited to:

  • Kitchen, bedroom and appliance installations
  • Air conditioning supply, installation and maintenance
  • General building, electrical and plumbing works (where qualified)
  • Project management and finishing trades

All work is carried out in accordance with relevant British Standards, building regulations and industry best practice unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Quotations & Estimates

Any quotation or estimate provided by us is valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless stated otherwise. Quotations are based on information supplied by you and may be revised if additional work is required or unforeseen circumstances arise.

Acceptance of a quotation must be made in writing (including email) before we commence work. A signed contract or order confirmation may be required for larger projects.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and are exclusive of VAT (if applicable) unless otherwise stated. Payment terms are as follows:

  • For works under £1,000: full payment due upon completion, unless a deposit is agreed.
  • For works over £1,000: a non-refundable deposit of 30–50% may be required to secure your booking, with the balance due on practical completion.
  • For larger projects, stage payments may be agreed in advance.

Late payments may incur interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate per annum, calculated daily.

We reserve the right to suspend work if payments are overdue. Any additional costs arising from suspended work (e.g., rescheduling, materials storage) may be charged.

5. Cancellations & Postponements

You may cancel or postpone a booked installation by giving at least 7 days' notice in writing. Deposits are generally non-refundable unless otherwise agreed. If cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before the scheduled start, a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total quoted price may apply.

We may cancel or reschedule a job due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, supply chain failure). In such cases, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer an alternative date.

6. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your property and requirements.
  • Obtain any necessary permissions (e.g., landlord consent, parking permits) before work begins.
  • Ensure safe and unobstructed access to the work area.
  • Arrange for the removal of fragile or valuable items from the work area prior to our arrival.

We are not liable for damage to items left in the work area unless caused by our negligence.

7. Materials & Warranties

All materials supplied by us are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. We pass on the benefit of such warranties to you. Our workmanship is guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the date of completion. This guarantee covers installation defects; it does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by third parties.

If you supply your own materials, we accept no responsibility for their quality, suitability, or performance. Any additional labour or remedial work resulting from defective client‑supplied materials will be charged at our standard rates.

8. Limitation of Liability

We carry public liability insurance of at least £2,000,000. Our total liability for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or special loss, including loss of profit, revenue, or business opportunity, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

9. Intellectual Property

All drawings, designs, plans and specifications prepared by us remain our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, distribute or use them for any purpose other than the project for which they were created, without our prior written consent.

10. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

If you have any concerns about our work, you must notify us in writing within 7 days of completion. We will investigate and respond within 14 days. If the issue cannot be resolved amicably, either party may refer the matter to an independent mediator or, if necessary, to the courts of England and Wales.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
